When I haul cattle in my stock trailer I put a strap on the lower half of the back of the trailer. That is because the back door only has a latch on the upper half. I am leery that somehow the cattle will push hard on the door and it will come off or open on the bottom. So I attach a strap or two on the lower half of the trailer when I haul cattle.
The last time I hauled cattle the large yellow strap was jamming up and hard to use. So I used two other smaller straps for the trip. Later I had to unwind the yellow strap all the way from the catch / tightener. It took some time to unwind it so Daisy decided to help me. Eventually we got the strap all unwound and rethreaded and fixed.
