More kitty in a bag

Daisy was sleeping in her bag again the other day.

Now it was time for a little grooming...

...until Daisy got tired of having her photo taken and turned away..

Up a tree

The other day Daisy decided to climb one of the huge box elder trees over the patio.   Why?  Because it was there.

Going up is easy

Then, when it came time to get down, she called out to me to help her.  I was busy fixing my bicycle's chain so she had to wait.  So Daisy decided to make her way down herself.  Coming back down was not so easy.

But after going - down, sideways, and backwards - Daisy turned near the bottom and made a dash for safe ground.

Sleeping on the couch

Slipper wrestling

Daisy and Tammy did some foot wrestling the other day.  They were really going at it so the photo is blurred.

Packing the van

Tammy has an expo tomorrow in Polson.  Today Daisy helped Tammy pack the van with stuff to sell.

Snuggie action

Daisy loves Tammy's snuggie.   Every day she 'kneads' it before settling down for a nap.

Can you stop with the picture taking?  I'm trying to relax here.

Busy life of a ranch cat

Daisy's day started with her surveying her domain from the front house steps.

A woodpecker was knocking on a dead branch's bark in the background.  Daisy made a run for the woodpecker but it flew off.  She then sat on the wood pile until I got the camera out.

Even though Daisy just came from the house and a bowl of fresh water... nothing tastes as good as melted snow water.

In the afternoon Daisy sat sitting through the cement block watching the corral... until I got the camera out.

Later Daisy checked on the water level in the water trough.
 

The water level is low.  You need to add water.

Bug catcher

Daisy is quite the hunter.  Not only do mice and bird need to fear her, so do bugs.  Often on warm sunny days I see her outside running around after flies.

The house is also not safe for bugs.  Whenever a box elder bug makes it inside Daisy is on it.

Wash machine cat

Sometimes Daisy sleeps on the washing machine.

Here Daisy is making a face at me since I won't stop taking photos of her.

Using my computer chair

Daisy likes to sleep on the chair by my computer.  Sometimes I can't get off the computer fast enough to satisfy her.

Moth watching

A few weeks ago when I was outside after dark putting together Tammy's treasure market signs a moth was flying by the window under the light.  That moth interested Daisy to no end.  She knows she is not allowed on the counter top so she stood and watched the moth.

Sleeping with Tammy

I swear... sometimes I think Daisy has no spine.  Here she is sleeping on the bed with Tammy one morning.

Guarding her toys

One evening Daisy was feeling possessive of her toys (and of Tammy's bag).

Watching the snow

Sunday we had snow flurries.  Just enough to get the ground white but not so much to last a day.

Here is Daisy watching the weather.  This afternoon she wasn't keen on going outside.  Such a smart cat.

Peek-a-boo

Daisy and Tammy already play "tag".  Now they are playing "peek-a-boo".   Wednesday night when Tammy called for Daisy to come in after dark Daisy would run out from the patio stuff, then run back in the patio and hide.  She did this several times before Tammy gave up and came back inside the house.

A short time later I went outside and Daisy came to me and then into the house.  Daisy doesn't play games with me - my job is to pet and brush her.

Wednesday afternoon Tammy got up from the couch and when she came back Daisy was not to be found.  She called out for Daisy.  Then Tammy saw her snuggie move a little bit.  She looked and here was Daisy "hiding".

Such a cute cat.

Peek-a-boo!

An even dozen

Daisy caught her twelfth mouse the other day.  She brought it to the door to show it off.

Get ready... I'll show you my mighty hunting skills.

I just want to be friends.

Bathroom cat

Tammy took a few photos of Daisy as Daisy kept her company while Tammy got ready for work.
