The other day when I checked on the cattle Daisy came along with me. Note: the pile on the other side of the fence are actually fence posts taken from fences I had rebuilt. I keep tossing the old posts on the pile. They can't be used for fences but someday I will find a use for them.
My neighbors, Calvin, his wife and son were outside in their pasture and we chatted. They also had one of their dogs with them. Daisy hung back for a while but eventually she wandered over as she just had to check out the son's ATV. Their dog was well behaved when Daisy walked by and she briefly sniffed noses with him.
We all walked to towards the river and Daisy came along. Part of their pasture is under water. The son drove his ATV around to the far side. Then he and Calvin would call their dog back and forth. The dog would take a straight line and run through the water, some of it chest deep on the dog. Daisy climbed up a tree near us and stood on a few branches to watch the dog 'act crazy', and also to avoid getting wet then the dog came our way.
After Calvin and his family walked back to his house Daisy and I walked the rest of the way to the river on my property. Daisy loves water. The other night she even sat up on the house roof in the rain as it drizzled lightly. But she is not so sure about the river. I think that is because the water moves and she can't wrap her head around that fact. She looks at the water but with a puzzled and cautious look.
Daisy also walked across some snow with me. The snow was soft and often she would sink in the soft snow. The second photo shows her front right leg sunk in the snow up to her chest. At times it was a struggle for her but she was game to try.
In the evening Daisy insisted on laying on my lap as I used my computer. She is actually sleeping in the following photo.

Computer cat in a chair
Last night Daisy took the chair I use when I am on my computer. I had to move Daisy and the chair to the side and then sit on an old wooden chair to use my computer.
Tonight Daisy is laying on my computer table as I type this. She was on my chair earlier but I got it back when Daisy went over to get something to eat.
It is cold outside and getting colder. Daisy insisted on going outside at 2:04 am last night. I couldn't talk her out of it. I intended to wait five minutes to let her back in the house but fell asleep. I woke up after a half hour. She was glad to get back into the house. She has not been outside since, not even when I went out on the morning to check on the cattle. Usually she goes out with me but this morning she stood at the door and sniffed at the cold air, wrinkled her nose and turned away from the door.

Computer Cat
These Winter days, when Daisy isn't laying near the wood stove, or laying with (or on) me and watching a movie on TV, she often lays on my computer desk when I am on the computer. I finally wised up and cleared off part of the table for her. Otherwise she would lay in front of my computer monitor or partially on my keyboard.
I don't have a photo of it but sometimes she lays the other way and peaks at me from under the computer monitor.

Where's Tammy?
Daisy is missing Tammy. She had taken to laying on my computer's mouse and messing with my keyboard. She also crawled into the computer chair with me, half laying on the seat and the rest on my legs. There is not quite enough room for the both of us and I end up holding her from falling with one hand. Normally Daisy gets her "computer and people" time with Tammy and rarely sits in my chair with me.
When the weather was nice yesterday Daisy spent most of the day outside. She even caught her second mouse (a big fat one) of the year and left it on the front step. Today Daisy only spent a little time outside and only when I was outside feeding the cattle. Too chilly.

Sleep typing
The hay in the hay shed is all used up. To feed the cattle I now have used enough hay bales from the barn that Daisy can now jump up different levels to the top of the hay bales. She spent the afternoon checking the barn for mice. So... she was tired in the evening and slept on the snuggie next to Tammy.
But Daisy still wanted to help Tammy on her computer and started some "sleep typing".

Sleepy computer cat
I sometimes will fall asleep at my computer, but Daisy fell asleep hard on Tammy computer the other night. Even laying under the bright lamp light. She didn't stir as I took photos of her and shut things down for the night. However when I opened the door and went outside I found Daisy waiting for me at the door a few minutes later when I returned.

More computer cat
Tammy and Daisy were on the computer the other night. As you can see Daisy was trying to move Tammy's arm while she was typing. Daisy ended up hitting the send key a few times before Tammy was ready to send the messages.

Computer cat plays games
Daisy has spend some evenings with Tammy on the computer. Daisy uses Facebook with Tammy and also plays computer games. When Daisy posts on Facebook her messages often are misspelled with multiple letters in a row.
Here is a video of Tammy and Daisy playing Tumblebugs. It is 49 seconds long.

Another night Daisy wanted to play on the computer but Tammy had work to do. So she forbid Daisy from getting on her computer. Daisy had to put one paw on the computer anyway. She fell asleep holding onto Tammy's computer.

Computer cat strikes again
If you got any odds emails from Tammy... it may not have been from Tammy. Daisy decided she wanted to play with Tammy's computer.
"...so I can dash off a quick email."
"Let's see... Tammy's not paying attention..."

"Ooppss... busted."

Daisy, birds and computer
Daisy had another busy day.
In the morning she talked to the birds. (26 seconds)

Then she ran around the yard while I went on a 10 mile bicycle ride to test my fixed bicycle tube. The barn door wasn't open today.
When she got back in the house mid afternoon she slept in the mud room sink for the rest of the afternoon. So cute.
Then she got up and decided to get Tammy and I off Tammy's computer. (1:49)

Then she and Tammy played tag while I finished eating supper. Tammy would shriek when Daisy came out of nowhere to surprise 'tag' Tammy by swatting Tammy's pants leg with her paw.
After using my computer's web cam to 'chat' with Tammy, Daisy is now laying on my lap.

Cattle and Computer cat
I got Daisy to spend more time outside today. She needs to get tired during the day so she doesn't stay up all night.
I was leaving the corral when Daisy turned around to move away from the corral fence. She was uncomfortable with Momma and Baby coming over to the corral fence. I held Daisy and protected her as I carried her to the fence so Momma could smell her. I hoped they would get accustomed to one another. Momma put her big nose up to Daisy's feet and sniffed. Daisy handled it but I could tell she wasn't too crazy about being so close to Momma.
A short time later as I was waiting for the water trough to be filled Daisy decided to slip into the corral and make her way to the barn. She wanted to check if the south door was open. Baby saw Daisy and came over to her and reached Daisy by the time she got to the door. I wish I had my camera to capture their interaction. Daisy tried to slink out of the way and started to get cornered so she suddenly made a fuss to cause Baby to back up then she ran to corral fence and safety. She sat in the one concrete casing I had removed from the well. Baby came over to the fence and as she walked over she made "brwanking" sounds and freaked Daisy out so Daisy ran over to my car in the pole shed. Way over there she felt safe to watch the cattle.
In the evening Daisy decided to help Tammy with her computer.
The video of Daisy and Tammy is 1:16 long.
