While Daisy drinks water from her water dish, she prefers to drink water from most everywhere else. She has now gotten me into the habit of putting water in the sink and then lifting her up onto the counter so she can drink from the sink.
Whatever my cat wants...

Waiting
This morning Daisy insisted I get out of bed and come outside and get to work. Earlier she woke me up at 8 am to come inside the house to eat her breakfast. Then she went back outside. I was tired and was sleeping at 9:40 am when she meowed outside my bedroom window. I got up and let her in the house; but instead of eating some more she meowed at me until I got up out of bed.
Here she is waiting in the mudroom sink for me finishing eating and to come outside with her.
Once I went outside Daisy was happy.

Water in the sink
The Valley inversions are still in effect so Daisy and I had to make our own fun indoors. Here she insisted on drinking water from the bathroom sink.

Drinking from the sink
Between my falling asleep, and Daisy sleeping on my lap and preventing me from easily reaching the computer's keyboard, I'm only able to post a quick blog.
You know how Daisy can sleep in odd positions. I had to catch her once already from rolling and slipping off my lap. She was sleeping so hard she was trying to figure out why I grabbed her when she was about to slide off my lap. She then went quickly back to sleep.
Here is a photo of Daisy drinking from the sink in the entryway.

Drinking water
Daisy loves to drink water from everywhere other than her nice fancy water dish that Tammy had gotten her. Daisy doesn't jump up on the bathroom sink counter when I am in the bathroom. However the other day when she sat on the floor next to me and asked to be let onto the counter I made the mistake of lifting her onto the counter and running water in the sink for her. Of course she loved drinking out of the sink. Now everyday when I wash up Daisy comes in and asks to be lifted onto the counter so she can drink from the sink. Of course I give in to her.

Welcome Home present
The morning Tammy left for Minnesota Daisy left her a parting gift of a mouse. Monday morning, the first morning since Tammy got back Sunday night, Daisy got up early to go hunting and then left a welcome home gift of a shrew outside the front door.
In the afternoon, during the baby horse commotion, Daisy hung out in the sink while I, the horse owners and their dog got the horse situation taken care of.
In the evening Daisy and Tammy were back to playing tag and catch the ball.

Bigger kitty in the sink
Daisy sat in the sink for a little while on Sunday. Is it me or is Daisy getting bigger? Time for a diet?

Sleepy sink kitty
Usually Daisy lays in the sink in evening after dark. Here she decided to lay in the sink in the sun to take a nap. (until I disturbed her with my photo taking.
)
And here Daisy is another afternoon after a busy morning spent outside.
And yet again another time in the bathroom sink. This time she let one leg stretch out.

Daisy in another sink
For a few days Daisy decided to move from the mud room sink to the bathroom sink. She just rotates around the house for a favorite place to lay in the evenings.

Daisy, birds and computer
Daisy had another busy day.
In the morning she talked to the birds. (26 seconds)

Then she ran around the yard while I went on a 10 mile bicycle ride to test my fixed bicycle tube. The barn door wasn't open today.
When she got back in the house mid afternoon she slept in the mud room sink for the rest of the afternoon. So cute.
Then she got up and decided to get Tammy and I off Tammy's computer. (1:49)

Then she and Tammy played tag while I finished eating supper. Tammy would shriek when Daisy came out of nowhere to surprise 'tag' Tammy by swatting Tammy's pants leg with her paw.
After using my computer's web cam to 'chat' with Tammy, Daisy is now laying on my lap.

Cat nip
What's a day without a Daisy post on the blog?!
Daisy finally got into the north barn door. The barn is so stuffed with hay she couldn't make her way from the door on the south side to the north side to find out why I kept going into the north door and this was "killing her". She had to know what was in there. This afternoon the cattle weren't by the barn door side of the feeder when I went in and out and the next I knew Daisy slipped inside and started checking stuff out. I had the feeling she was on the scent of mice. She hadn't found any by the time I finished and picked her up to take out of the barn. I didn't want to lock her inside the barn when I shut the door.
Speaking of the cattle... this morning Baby made me laugh. The rest of the cattle had gotten to the feeder as I filled it with more hay. Daisy slowly ambled out of the loading corral and stepping onto a large patch of ice slipped. All four of her legs went out from under her and "whompf!" she plopped down hard on her side. She was ok and quickly got up and made her way to the feeder. It was funny!
Bob and Jan gave me some of the wild cat nip they had grown and harvested. So I rubbed Daisy's mouse toy in the cat nip and gave it to her. Oh yeah! She loved it.
Daisy sometimes sleeps on the table next to my computer keyboard. Only when I am on the ocmputer.
So many toys... what one should I play with? I know... all of them.
What's that? A mousy? In cat nip? Take that mousy!!
What you looking at? I didn't make this mess.
Later when Daisy walked around the house, the yarn and ribbon stuck to her. She didn't know what was going on and couldn't figure out how to get rid of it. I had to help her.
In the evening Daisy found a new place to sleep.
Then Daisy and Tammy shared Tammy's snuggie to take naps.
