Well casing

The other night Tammy and I caught Daisy being very curious about my 6 inch well casing pipe.  The one end is open and the opening just large enough for Daisy to squeeze into.  We stopped her by the time she was halfway in the pipe.  We were afraid she would get in and get stuck and be unable to back out.  I blocked the open end.  Daisy nosed around the block for a while before she gave up and moved on.

Tall grass cat

The other day Tammy took a few photos of Daisy laying in the tall grass behind the loafing shed.  She appeared to be watching the back of the loafing shed.  Most likely for mice.  It didn't hurt that she was also in the shade on a warm day.  With the barn full of hay I also see Daisy lay in the corral outside the barn watching one side of it for mice.

More computer cat

The other night Daisy decided she needed some computer time.  In the background she is on Facebook.

Intruder

This afternoon the black and white cat came back.  This is the cat I suspected of being a "daddy".  I guess not as Daisy doesn't seem to be pregnant.  Why she developed six nipples - I don't know.

Daisy didn't take kindly to this cat being here.  Was it because he didn't call after his last visit?

Here Daisy came from the patio when she saw the black and white cat.  That cat is in the open door.  Daisy had a "who are you? What's going on here?" kind of walk.

Then Daisy ran to the cat and it retreated into my treasure pile area.  Daisy followed and Tammy and I heard a fight and growling.   I walked over and found Daisy up and over the other cat who was crouched down and growling.  The other cat ran and headed to the back yard with Daisy in hot pursuit.

A few minutes later the other cat came back and ran around the tool shed and behind the garage and then gone.  Daisy came trotting out a few seconds later.

Daisy looking to see where the other cat went.  As you can see Daisy is still worked up.

Later Daisy keeps a lookout for the other cat.

No matter if the other cat is a male or female, Daisy made it clear it wasn't welcome around here.

Rainy day blues

Today it rained all day and was cold.  The cold didn't bother Daisy, but the rain hampered her usual routine.

Daisy woke me up to go outside at 5:30 am as usual.  But it was raining and had been raining hard for a while as water was standing in the driveway.  She sat on the porch for a bit watching the rain and I waited for her to come back inside.  But suddenly she made a dash for the garage.  Fine. I'm going back to bed.

Tammy forgot to set the alarm and overslept by a half hour and didn't wake until almost 7 am.  When she opened the door a very wet cat came back inside who was vocal about being left outside.  Daisy even came back to the bed and stood and meowed at me for not letting her inside the house earlier.  Once she got my attention she turned around and walked off.

Sorry Daisy.  But it is cold outside and I had all the windows closed and didn't hear you earlier.

Once I got out of bed a few hours later all was forgiven as Daisy had dried off by then and had a nap on the back of the couch.  She was bummed that she couldn't go outside.  She halfheartedly played with some of her many toys but often would wandered around the house and look out various windows.

Later in the afternoon Daisy went outside. It was still raining lightly but she wandered around to check out the catnip growing by the well.  It was too wet to lay in and, after 10-15 minutes of further exploring, Daisy was back at the door ready to come inside the house.

Wet catnip.

Daisy went outside a few more times during the day even though it was wet.  Once I saw her chasing a bug through the wet grass and leaves.

Daisy... Daisy.

In her basket

We put a basket out for Daisy a month or so ago.  Other than walking through it a couple times, and once sitting in it to do her grooming, Daisy never laid in it until the other night.

Sleepy computer cat

I sometimes will fall asleep at my computer, but Daisy fell asleep hard on Tammy computer the other night. Even laying under the bright lamp light.  She didn't stir as I took photos of her and shut things down for the night.  However when I opened the door and went outside I found Daisy waiting for me at the door a few minutes later when I returned.

After the Treasure Market

Tammy held one of her Treasure Markets this weekend.  Since a gun show and a bead show were at the fairgrounds this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, this time Tammy tried holding her event on Friday and Saturday instead of Saturday and Sunday as Sundays tend to be slow.  Friday was very slow and this will be the last time she holds the event on Friday.

After the event was over on Saturday Daisy got involved in unloading Tammy's van.

Upset kitty

While Tammy and I were visiting my relatives in Washington State Daisy stayed home.  She spent the five days in the house.  Jan checked up on her.

When Tammy and I returned home late Monday night Daisy wanted outside and I let her out for a half hour.  That was not enough and Daisy was upset at not being outside and not being outside for five days.  She was wound up.  At times she would suddenly reach out and claw or bite when Tammy or I were petting her.  Tammy got scratched up pretty bad on her hand and both legs.  Daisy even clawed at me and she rarely does that.

Tuesday morning Daisy had a change or heart and rubbed against Tammy in the morning and even licked her feet.

Daisy was mostly back to normal Tuesday night.  She even caught and played with a mouse Tuesday afternoon to get her aggression out.
